This page contains some JetSpeed portlet examples. JetSpeed is the customizable Apache portal server and allows the addition of views and forms to access backend systems.

Contained are portlets for querying and creating OGo jobs and appointments using the OGo XML-RPC daemon.

The sources are provided as is and may not even work!

1. download and install j2sdk1.4.1_01 from http://java.sun.com (required for the XMLRpcClient)
2. download and install Tomcat and JetSpeed like described on jakarta.apache.org (tomcat-4.1.18 not tomcat-4.1.18-jdk14, there were problems in combination with jetspeed1.4-b3)
3. merge the WEB-INF and javascript directories from the skyrix archive with the WEB-INF directory found in "webapps/jetspeed" under the tomcat directory.
4. got to "webapps/jetspeed/WEB-INF/conf" in the Tomcat directory
5. edit JetspeedResources.properties and add: ",/WEB-INF/classes/de/skyrix/templates" to the setting "services.TemplateLocator.templateRoot" in section "TEMPLATE LOCATOR SERVICE".
6. edit TurbineResources.properties, add "module.packages=de.skyrix.modules" in section "MODULE PACKAGE" and add ",/WEB-INF/classes/de/skyrix/templates/jsp" to the setting "services.JspService.templates" in section "JSP SERVICE".
7. restart Tomcat
